ARISTOCRACY [From αριστοκρατία (aristocratia) aristo-kratia. Άριστοι (plural) meaning ”the best of” and -κρατια meaning ”holding the power”.

— a government by the “best” people, usually nobility and self-appointed.

OLIGARCHY [Ancient Greek ὀλιγαρχία (oligarchia) < ὀλίγος (oligos, “few”) + ἀρχή (archē, “rule”].

— A government run by only a few, often the wealthy.

— Those who make up an oligarchic government

— A state ruled by such a government.

POLITICIANOCRACY (my word, derived in a somewhat similar fashion to the previous ones.)

— a government of the people, by the politicians, and for the politicians.
